I am located in Blackburn, Lancashire, but welcome enquiries from across the Lancashire area. Counselling appointments are available daytimes and early evening. Having spoken on the phone, the next step is to arrange an initial consultation. This is not in itself a commitment to starting therapy.

There will be no charge for your initial consultation (which usually lasts between 30 and 60 minutes ). The focus will be on contracting the relationship, answering any questions, gathering relevant information and identifying goals and aims. It will also be an opportunity for me to assess whether I can help.

I am committed to working within my level of competence as laid down by the BACP Ethical Framework so some clients are referred to other agencies. For example, chronic substance abuse and mental illness would generally be referred to specialist agencies. It is also a chance for us to get to know each other and see if you feel you are in the 'right place'.
